The Midi and Mini's sections cater for boys and girls in the age groups Under 6 to Under 12's.

For the 2007 / 2008 season the dates of birth / school years for the players is as follows;

Under 12 d.o.b. 1/9/1995-31/8/1996 School Year 7

Under 11 d.o.b. 1/9/1996-31/8/1997 School Year 6

Under 10 d.o.b. 1/9/1997-31/8/1998 School Year 5

Under 9 d.o.b. 1/9/1998-31/8/1999 School Year 4

Under 8 d.o.b. 1/9/1999-31/8/2000 School Year 3

Under 7 d.o.b. 1/9/2000-31/8/2001 School Year 2

Under 6 d.o.b. 1/9/2001 and after School Year 1 and Reception

At Under 6,7 and 8 the children play Tag Rugby, a non-contact version of the game.

At Under 9 and 10 they play nine-a-side contact rugby, at under 11 and 12 they play 12-a-side contact rugby.

New players are always welcome, look at our fixtures and come along on a day when training is shown. You can find details of the coach for your child’s age group by clicking on the appropriate age group page.

To come along and join in you just need normal sports clothing (without zips) a pair of football boots or trainers if the ground is hard. New players don’t have to join straight away, we allow a few sessions to make sure they enjoy rugby before asking you to join.

Upminster have a thriving Mini and Midi's section well supported in all age groups. All age groups play regular friendly matches both at home and away, as well as representing the club in a number of Rugby Festivals - with a high degree of success. There is an annual tour normally around Easter, an Awards Day at the end of the season as well as Social events for children and parents throughout the season.
